6) Boat Trip & Local life at Wiang Sa

Overview: This tour shows you the real local life at the small Northern city of Wiang Sa. It is all about the slow life "of the past" in the north so this tour starts relaxed at 11:00. We start with a dragon boat repair dock and an interesting local temple with lots of different buddhas and move on to a coffee roaster where you can see the coffee plants and the roasting process. Lunch (13:00) is a typical tasty local lunch and we take a coffee afterwards at the famous Jang Nan coffee shop. After lunch we go to the Nan elephant camp and visit a village with a huge tree of more than a thousand years old at the Nan river. We sail to the point where the Nan river meets the Wa river (you can see many fisherman and birds) The boatsman normally takes a local guitar called "pin" with him to entertain you on the river. We expect to be back at your hotel around 18:30.
